I sat on my bed, my favorite blanket thrown over my legs. I turned the page of my book, while bobbing my head gently to the music I had in the background.
Knock knock
“Who’s there?” I called, not looking up from my book.
“Dinner.” My father called into my room. I looked over at my door when I heard him jiggle the locked door handle.
“It’s locked. And dinner who?” I put my bookmark into the book before setting it on my nightstand. I threw the blanket off of my legs and grabbed my black, high top Converse shoes. I walked over to my closet and grabbed my black sweatshirt.
“You know better than to lock your door, Y/n!” My father said.
“Only way I get privacy in this house.” I said, as I brushed through my hair. I walked over to the door and unlocked it. I threw it open to see my father standing in the doorway. “Besides. It’s not like I was sneaking boys into my room and making out with them… And then murdering them after the make out session.” I said. My father smiled.
“Let’s go.” He said, and turned around. He started walking down the stairs. I closed my bedroom door behind me, before I followed him. I looked over my shoulder when I heard a crash come from my room.
“I’ll be right there. I forgot something.” I said, turning back to my room. I opened the door and looked inside. Everything was how I left it… Except my book was on the floor, along with my hairbrush, and my window and closet were opened. I walked in, closed my window and closet. I picked up the book and the hair brush before leaving the room.
*Le time skip, since Imma lazy hoe 😛*
I changed out of my black skinny jeans and shirt into some black pajama shorts and a black crop top. I put my over sized sweatshirt back on before heading out of the bathroom.
When I walked into my room, I put my clothes into my hamper (which was in my closet), before walking over to my vanity and blow drying my hair.
*Another time skip because laziness*
As I was sat in my bed, with my book, I heard a loud noise. It was past midnight, so I knew it wasn’t my father. I looked up, and look around my room.
“Hello?” I called out.
“Hi.” I heard a man say, from somewhere in my room.
“Who’s there?” I asked, trying (but failing) to stop my voice from shaking.
“I didn’t say a knock knock joke… Did I?” The man said. I heard shuffling before I heard him speak again. “Jack, did I tell a knock knock joke?”
“No, you did not, Jeff.” I heard another man say. I assumed that this was Jack.
“Jack… And Jeff?” I said, trembling.
“That’s us.” Jack said.
“Yep!” Jeff said.
“Come out… From where ever you’re hiding.” I said. I heard my closet open, and then shuffling.
“Here. Happy?” Jeff said. I could barely see him. From what I could tell, he had very pale skin, and a white hoodie on.
“I’m never happy.” I said.
“Why?” Jack asked. I couldn’t see him, very well either. He had a black hoodie on, though.
“Depression.” I said. “Is that my hoodie?” Of course, I would be more concerned about my hoodies than my life.
“No. I also like black clothing.” Jack said. He took a step closer to me. Jeff did to. I could see that Jack had a blue mask on, and Jeff had black hair.
“Whatever.” I said. “Can you guys leave… I wanna read.”
“Sure. I’ll come later.” Jeff said. He walked over to my window, opened it, and jumped out. Jack and I watched him.
“Is he going to be okay?” I asked Jack. He nodded. I could see a dark liquid fly from his mask. “Are you okay?” Jack nodded again. I shrugged, and took my sweater off, since it was hot in my room now. I threw it down onto the ground next to my bed. As I raised my arm back up, I could hear Jack walking closer to me.
“The true question is: Are you okay?” He asked. I felt hands on my arm. I tried to my pull my arm out of the grip, that I assumed came from him, since he was now standing next to me.
“Let go.” I said. He released his grip, but looked at me. He grabbed my blanket and moved it, showing my legs. “you a*****e.” I said, grabbing the blanket from him. He had seen my scars.
“I came here to eat some kidneys, but this is more important. Explain.” He said. I felt the end of my bed sink down, as he sat down by my feet. I pulled my legs towards my stomach and sat cross-legged.
“You eat kidneys?” I asked, my fear slowly residing as I got intrigued. He nodded.
“Yes. But that doesn’t explain those scars.” He said. He pointed at me.
~Eyeless Jack’s pov~
“Explain.” I said, for the third time. This human was being really stubborn. She easily tried to change the subject.
“How about we get to know each other, first.” She suggested.
“Only if you explain the scars afterwards.” I said.
“Deal.” She held her hand out. Her fingers were curled in, but her pinky was out. She was making a pinky promise. I curled my pinkie around hers. “You first.”
“I’m Eyeless Jack.” I said, pulling my hand back. “I wear this mask to cover my face. I can see, even though I have no eyes. My blood, which is black, pours out of my eye sockets, and when I first got my mask, my blood got onto the mask.” I said. She nodded.
“Interesting. What do you look like without the mask?” She asked.
“No. Tell me about yourself.” I said. She groaned.
“Ugh. Fine.” She said. “I’m Y/n. I have depression, and anxiety. I don’t have any friends, and absolutely no one likes me. My father puts up with me, but I know he doesn’t really like me. My mother died when I was born. I like reading, painting, and being alone.” She said.
“Very interesting. Now explain the scars.” I said.
“Ugh. I hate you.” Y/n said, obviously being sarcastic. “The scars are from cutting myself.”
“Why?”
“What do you mean, “why”? I have depression. No one f*****g likes me. I get bullied.” She said. She closed her eyes. I moved closer to her, until I was at her side. I wrapped my arms around her.
“Not everyone doesn’t like you.” I said. “You’re interesting. I wanna know more about you. You seem fun. Let’s be friends.”
She opened her eyes and looked down me. She smiled and wrapped her arms around me.
“Okay.” She said. I let her go and sat up.
“What kind?” I asked.
“Hmm?”
“What kind of books do you like?” I asked.
“Horror, murder, mystery, fiction.” She said. I nodded.
“Those are good genres.” I said. I laid back, resting my head on her pillows. She laid down as well.
“Any other friends besides Jeff?”
“Yeah.”
“Names?”
“Find out yourself. Tomorrow?” I asked.
“Sounds like fun.” She said. She was getting tired. She rolled over, as she was almost asleep, and rested her head on my chest. I waited until she was fast asleep before leaving. I’ll go to a different person’s house for kidneys.
I waited in my room, for Eyeless Jack to show up. I eventually got bored of waiting and grabbed my book. I got comfortable on my bed and started to read.
I got so into my book that I didn’t notice the floorboards creaking, or the end of my bed sinking a bit.
“Y/n?” I heard Jack say. I looked up from my book. I smiled.
“Hi, sorry.” I said, setting my book down. “Everytime I read, I get into the book.”
“It’s all right.” He said. He stood up. “Ready?” He held his hand out for me to take.
“Almost.” I said. I stood up, and grabbed my sketchbook and pencils. I put the book and pencils into my leather bound bag that I take with me when I leave the house. I slung the bag over my shoulder and walked over to Jack. “Now, I’m ready.” He took my hand and walked over to the window.
He looked out, and nodded. I looked over his shoulder. I could see Jeff, standing just outside the forest that I considered my backyard. Jack turned and walked over to my bedroom door. He opened it and walked into the hallway.
“Why didn’t we go out the window? If Jeff could do it, and be perfectly okay, then so can you. And I can survive that fall.” I said quietly to Jack. “Plus, it would’ve been faster.”
“You’re human. I’m not. I would be perfectly okay, but you would get injuries.” Jack said, whispering. I walked in front of him, towards the back door.
“How adorable. You met me yesterday, and you already don’t want to inflict more pain on me.” I said, with a smile as I opened the door. I stepped out, with Jack following. After I closed the door, Jack took my hand, again, and started to walk towards the forest. I followed, and eventually ran when he brought up the pace.
We got into the woods, with Jeff leading us. Jack had slowed the pace, so I didn’t have to run any longer. He still had a hold on my hand, but I didn’t care.
We eventually got to a clearing. Jeff told Jack and me to sit and wait, while he got Jack’s friends. Jack sat down in the grass, his legs out. I sat down next to him, cross-legged. I took my bag off my shoulder and opened it. I grabbed my sketchbook and a pencil. I turned to Jack.
“What are you doing?” He asked, as I opened my book and started to sketch him.
“Sketching.” I said, nonchalantly. He looked over at me. “No” I whined. “Go back to that position you were just in.” He chuckled, and shrugged his shoulders, before going back to the position he was in before.
“Awe!” I heard someone say. I looked up and saw Jeff, with 7 people. Jeff sat down on the other side of Jack. A little girl, with blood coming from her eyes, sat next to him. A little boy, around the age of 10, sat next to me.
“That’s Jeff, as you know.” Jack said, pointing at Jeff. Jeff waved. Jack moved on. “The little girl is Sally. Then there’s Ticci-Toby” I smiled at him. Toby smiled back.
“I’m Laughing Jack.” The person next to Toby said.
“We call him L.J, because there’s Laughing Jack, and then there’s Eyeless Jack.” The little boy next to me said. “And there’s Slendy.”
“Slendy is basically the father.” Sally said. “We’re all one big family, and Slendy is the dad.”
“Hello.” I said to Slendy. He waved back at me.
“That’s Hoodie.” Jeff said. He pointed at the person next to Slendy.
“I thought I was the one showing my friends to Y/n…” Eyeless Jack said. I smiled.
“I’m sure your friends can introduce themselves, Jack.” I said.
“I’m Ben.” The little boy next to me said.
“Hi, Ben.” I said, with a smile.
“Hi.” Ben said.
“And that’s all my friends.” Jack said to me.
“Well, since I know you guys, and I’m not entirely sure if you all heard Jack say my name earlier… I’m y/n” I said.
(This is a couple years after the last paragraph)
I walked outside, and into the forest. I met Ben in the woods and he took me to the clearing that Jack had taken me, years ago. Memories flashed inside my head. I smiled.
“Jack told me to tell you to wait here.” Ben said before walking away.
I looked around the clearing. I noticed that there was a little table, with two chairs around it. Those weren’t here before…. I thought. I shrugged it off and walked over to the table. I sat down in one of the chairs and waited patiently for Jack.
I played with the hem of my dress before Jack made his presence known.
“Those are fresh.” I heard him say. He was hiding in the darkness, behind a tree. I looked down at my legs.
“I knew I shouldn’t have worn a dress…” I grumbled. “or short sleeved.” Jack walked out of the darkness behind me. He wrapped his arms around my neck, in a hug-type-thing.
“Why do you harm yourself?” He asked me.
“Why do you eat kidneys?” I asked in reply.
“That’s how I live. Now answer my question.” He countered.
“When there is too much pain and sadness, in me, I need a way to let it out… And that is the only way I know how to do it…. I’ve grown accustomed to harming myself.” I said.
“Don’t do it again… Please…” He said.
“I’m not sure if I can.”
“If you love me, you’ll stop.” He said. “Everytime I find out you’ve harmed yourself, my heart breaks a little bit. And I don’t like knowing that you’ve inflicted pain upon yourself.”
(A/n: I was so tempted to wrote “If you love me, let me GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”)
“Okay. I’ll try.” I said.
“Thank you.” Jack removed his arms from my neck and walked over to the other chair. As soon as Jack sat down, Slendy came out of hiding, and set a plate of food on the table. I nodded a thank-you to him.
“So. Is this a date?” I asked, after Slendy left.
“It’s really up to you, what it is.” Jack said.
“It’s a date, then.” I said with a smile. Jack smiled back.
~Jack’s pov~
After Y/n and I finished the wonderful food that Slendy made for us, I suggested that we go and look at the stars. Y/n seemed really pleased by my suggestion.
We stood up, walked to her house and went to her roof.
“I love the night sky. It’s always intrigued me.” She said, as I sat down besides her.
“Yeah.” I said. “It intrigues many people, but only a few can see its true beauty.”
“Ooh, look at you. Mr. Jack the poet.” She said. I looked at her. She was smiling.
“You’re such a dork, sometimes, Y/n” I chuckled.
“Yes, but this dork is your friend.” She said. She looked away from me. I could see her cheeks become a deep red. “And… This dork… h-has a… Um… Crush on you…”
“I-i’m sorry… What?” I said. “Did I hear you correctly?”
“Depends on what you heard.”
“You l-like me?” I asked. She nodded. I scooted close to her and hugged her. “I like you too.” I said. She looked at me, shock evident. It took her a moment to coil her arms around my back, and when she did, she rested her head in the crook of my neck.
*Le time skip*
After about an hour on the roof, Y/n got tired, I helped her get off the roof, and into her bedroom. I went to her closet and grabbed one of her black shirts, then walked over to her dresser and opened the drawers, looking for her pajama bottoms. After I found them, I handed her the clothes.
“Will you stay with me tonight, Jack?” She asked, as she tossed her dress into her hamper.
“Sure.” I said. “But I’ll be gone in the morning.”
“As long as your with me when I fall asleep.” She said. I followed her to her bed.
“Do you want pajama” she asked me. I sat down on her bed.
“No. I’m good.” I said. She walked over and sat beside me. I grabbed her blanket and wrapped it over her.
“You’d make a good boyfriend.” She mumbled as she dozed off.
“And you would make a good girlfriend.” I replied. I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and started to stroke her hair. Y/n turned onto her side. She rested her head on my chest. I smiled. She always made me happy.
“I love you, Y/n.” I whispered to her, when I thought she was asleep. I thought wrong.
“I love you, too, Jack.” She whispered back. Her breathing became heavier, and I knew she was asleep.
I woke up the next morning, Jack’s hoodie laying next to me. I shrugged and got up. I walked over to my dresser and grabbed a pair of ripped, black skinny jeans. I went to the closet and grabbed a shirt. As I walked past my bed, I grabbed his hoodie. I went to the bathroom and took a shower.
*Le time skip being I’m a lazy a*s*
I went into my room, Jack’s hoodie on me, and did my hair.
I heard my floorboards creak.
“Jack?” I called out.
“No.” I heard Jeff say. I turned around.
“Oh. Hello, Jeff. Why are you here?” I asked.
“Jack kinda sorta needs to speak with you, and he asked me to come get you.” He said.
“Oh. Okay. Give me a minute.” I turned back around and went to my vanity. I did my make up (winged eyeliner and mascara) before opening one of the vanity drawers. I took out a beanie and put it on. “Okay.” I said, turning towards Jeff.
“Lead the way.” He said, gesturing to my door.
“We can go the faster way.”
“Jack said to make sure you weren’t injured… And then insisted that I make sure you don’t go out through the window.” He said. I shrugged and walked to the door. I opened it and walked into the hallway. I heard Jeff close my door, and then follow me. We went into the kitchen, and Jeff opened the back door. I followed him outside.
I wrapped Jack’s hoodie tighter around me, when I stepped outside.
“God! It’s cold!” I said. “How are you not freezing?”
“Use to it.” Jeff said. We didn’t talk the rest of the time. We stopped in the clearing, and Jeff told me to wait, before he walked away, further into the forest. Soon after Jeff left, Jack came out.
“I see that your wearing my hoodie.” He said.
“Hello, to you, too, Jack.” I said. I noticed that he had his mask raised, showing his mouth. He smiled at me.
“Hello, Y/n.” He said. I walked over to him, and wrapped my arms around his waist.
“Thank you… For last night.” I said. He wrapped his arms around my back.
“You’re welcome.” He said. He held me close to him. I pulled away slightly, and looked up at him.
~Jack’s pov~
Before I knew it, Y/n’s lips were pressed against mine. I closed my eyes, before kissing her as well. I felt her hands on the sides of my face.
“Woah! Jack! Get some!” I heard Jeff say. I pulled away from Y/n and looked in the direction I had heard Jeff’s voice. Y/n let go of me, but I kept her in my arms. I heard Jeff again.
“AHHH! SLENDY! NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!” Jeff screamed, before he came crashing out into the clearing. Slenderman was chasing him. As Slendy passed Y/n and me, he stopped and dipped his head towards us, apologetically.
“I’m sorry about him, Jack. I’ll make sure he doesn’t bother you again today.” Slender said before continuing his chase with Jeff.
“Its okay, Slendy.” I said. “It doesn’t matter now.” Slender turned around. He nodded and walked into the woods, after waving at Y/n. Jeff poked his out from behind a tree.
“Is it okay to come out now?” He asked, his voice trembling.
“Yes, Jeff. But don’t do it again, or we will let Slendy hurt you.” Y/n said. I smiled at her. Jeff let out a little whimper before running in the direction that Slendy had just gone. Y/n turned to me.
“I guess we need to have the talk now..?” She said to me.
“Uh.. yeah… That sounds like a good idea…”
“So…” She trailed off. “Are we…”
“Dating?” I asked. She nodded. “If you want to go out with me, then yes.”
“Okay.” She said. We stood there in silence for what seemed like forever, although it was probably just 10 seconds. “Thanks for the hoodie, boyfriend.” She said.
“You’re welcome, girlfriend.” I said. Y/n looked up at me again. Before she could do anything, I bent down a little bit and kissed her. She tried, and failed, to surpress a smile as she kissed me.
(This take place about 3-4 years after the previous chapter)
“S**t.” I said. “Where is it? I just had it!” I ran around the house, looking for the necklace that Jack had gotten me.
“Looking for this?” Jeff said. I turned around.
“You little prick! Give it to me!” I said. My necklace was swaying on Jeff’s finger.
“Mmmm… Nah.” He said, before taking off.
“Don’t make me get Slendy!” I shouted.
“Nevermind!” Jeff said. He was in the hallway. He turned around and started to walk back towards me. I grabbed my necklace and put it on.
“You’re an a*s, you know that, right?” I said to him.
“But you love me.”
“That’s debatable.”
“Ouch… Right in the heart!” He said, placing his hand over his chest, acting like he was in pain. “Now I know why Jack loves you! You’re a heartless person, and if you did have a heart, it would be ice cold!”
“Thanks for the compliments.” I said. I ran upstairs to put on my dress. “Jeff, what time is it?” I called downstairs.
“Don’t worry, you have plenty of time.” Jeff called back.
“Get up here and help me zip my damn dress!” I heard Jeff run up the stairs. He knocked on the door. “Oh, for Christ’s sake! It’s not like I’m f*****g naked. Just get in here and help me put my dress on!” Jeff opened the door and walked in. He walked over to me, and grabbed the zipper that was on the back of my dress.
“Move your hair, unless you want it caught it the zipper.” He said. I pulled all my hair over my shoulder and let Jeff zip my dress up. I breathed in and held my breath. “All done.” He said, and stepped back. I let go of my hair, took a breath, and turned around.
“How do I look? Do I need to change anything?” I asked him.
“Putting your hair up in a bun, with your bangs out would look good.” Jeff said. “Curling the bangs, as well.” He looked at my face, and then the makeup on my vanity. “Red lipstick, as well.”
“Thanks.” I said. I grabbed two hair ties, a hair donut, and a bow. “hand me that hair brush?” I asked as I flipped my hair over my head. Jeff grabbed the hair brush and handed it to me.
*Let time skip because going into detail about her getting ready would be boring*
“Time?” I asked Jeff.
“Time to go.” He said. I walked down the stairs.
“Have you seen my-” I said, but got cut off. He held up the thing I was looking for. “Thank you.” I said. I grabbed it and put it on. “Let’s go.”
We headed outside. On the walk to the clearing in the forest, Jeff and I talked.
“It’s sad that my father couldn’t be here for this. He wouldn’t approve, but he would’ve come to it.” I said.
“Yeah. But hey. Slendy said he was willing to do it. If you don’t want Slendy to do it, I’ll do it.” Jeff said.
“I’d rather have Slendy do it.” I said, with a smile.
“Ice cold.” Jeff said, referencing his attempt to offend me from earlier.
“Thanks.” We got to the edge of the woods. As we walked in, Slendy met us.
“Ready?” Slenderman asked me. I nodded. “Want me to do it?” I nodded again. He held his arm out for me. I took it. “It’s just about to start.” He said. Jeff went to the clearing and took his place. Pretty soon the music started. Slendy and I started to walk. We soon met with Jane and Sally. Sally had her basket, and Jane had my flowers. I took my flowers, and Jane went to the clearing.
“Okay, Sally. It’s time for you to go.” Slendy said. Sally smiled, nodded, and started to walk. A little bit after Sally started to walk, Slendy and I followed. As we neared the front, Slendy let go of my arm. I gripped my flowers with both hands, and continued to walk. I got to the front and stood, looking at Jack. He wasn’t wearing his mask, or his usual clothes. He look good in a suit and tie. We both looked at the man standing next to us. It was Masky
*Time skip*
“I do.” Jack said. He put the ring on my finger.
“And do you-” Masky said, before I cut him off.
“I do.” I said, a huge grin on my face.
“I know pronounce you, both, as husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.” Masky said. Jack took a step towards me, before we kissed.
“AWE, HELL YEAH!” We heard Jeff yell. I smiled.
“DAMMIT, JEFF! THIS IS THE ONE TIME YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE YELLED! THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT AND HUGE STEP IN MY FAMILY’S LIFE!” Slendy yelled at Jeff.
“I love your family.” I said to Jack.
“It’s your family, as well, now.” He said. He took a step back.
“I haven’t eaten anything all day. I want food. And honestly, Slendy makes the best food I’ve ever had.” I said. Jack smiled.
“Okay. Let’s get my girl some food.” He said. “I don’t want you fainting today.”
“Lack of food is not going to be the cause of that.” I said. “you in a suit will be.” He chuckled and grabbed my hand.
“To the food!” He said.
“To the food.” I repeated. We walked over to a little table that had all the food on it. There was another one, a little ways away that had the cake on it. Just then, Slendy walked over.
“Thank you, Slendy. For everything.” I said with a smile.
“Anything for my favorite human.” He said.
“Daughter-in-law, now.” Jack said. Slendy nodded.
“I’m glad that you both found someone that makes you very happy.” He said. I smiled at him. Jack kissed my cheek.
“Let’s put something in your stomach before you pass out.” Jack said. I grabbed a plate and put some salad on it. Ben walked over.
“You look beautiful, today, Y/n.” He said.
“Thank you, Ben.” I replied.
“No. Thank you for finally making E.J happy.” He said. “Since he brought you to the forest all those years ago, I’ve never seen him happier.” Ben hugged me. I hugged him back. He let go and walked away. I sat down in a chair and ate.
*Time skip-u*
I sat with Jack, inside the bedroom that would now be ours. Since my father passed away, it became my house. I moved all my stuff into the master bedroom. And since we lived so far from our neighbors, I told Jack’s family they could live in the house. They all agreed, and we made sleeping arrangements.
“I love you, Jack.” I said.
“I love you too, y/n.” Jack said.
“We love both of you.” The rest of the family said. I stood up, walked over to the door and opened it.
“Stop eavesdropping. It’s rude.” I said, before closing the door.
“This family…” I said with a smile. “It drives me insane, but I love them.”
“What wrong with insane?” Jack asked.
“Nothing.”
